You've probably tried some of these. Maybe a textbook that's still on a shelf somewhere too. Each one teaches you a piece. None of them ask you to actually speak, with another person, while you're trying to think. Vocabulary doesn't fix the fear. The only thing that does is speaking with other learners who are in your exact situation.

Speaking is a different skill. It's a muscle. It only gets stronger when you use it, with someone, every week. A complete beginner with ten words and a near-fluent speaker who freezes in cafés have the same missing piece: a place to open up and feel safe doing it.

That's what WeFrench is. The curriculum takes you from scratch, the live calls give you somewhere to actually use it, and the community keeps you moving between calls, with people who are exactly where you are.

Come learn French with us.

Julia S.

Michael

Michael

England

"I've been very impressed with Virginie as my French tutor. She is patient and encouraging, and has consistently helped me to challenge myself. Each time I'm in France I find that I'm able to understand more and speak more, which is an amazing feeling having started with zero French."

Anna

Anna

Italy

"I had a wonderful experience with Virginie. I was seeking individual lessons to improve my grammar and speaking skills in preparation for a French B2 certification test required by my workplace. With her expert help and gentle encouragement, I improved my French and gained the confidence I needed to pass the test."

Old way vs. WeFrench

Old-school French course

WeFrench

More vocabulary, more grammar, more theory

You speak French every week, not just study it

Generic lessons for everyone

Calls labelled by level, you pick what fits

You hope confidence will come later

You build confidence by speaking, from week one

Watch a video, feel productive, forget by Friday

Practice with real people, remember the next week

Nobody notices if you stop showing up

A teacher who notices, and cares how you do

What you get

Four live online conversation classes every week (~16 hrs/month)

Tuesday and Thursday, two times a day, so it works whether you're on the US East Coast, US West Coast or in Europe. Conversation, vocabulary, culture, current events, French films, regions of France. A different topic every time. Recorded.

100+ in-depth grammar lessons (15+ hours)

A full course library from absolute beginner to advanced, A1 to B2, unlocked from day one. Move at your own pace. Re-watch anything as many times as you want.

A community to help you grow

Members posting in French about their week, asking for help, sharing wins, meeting between calls. The kind of community that pulls you forward, especially on the weeks you don't feel like showing up.

A monthly cultural session (~2 hrs)

Once a month, a longer session where we explore something French together: a book, a film, a region of France, a piece of history. You engage with the material through the month, then we meet to talk about it. Relaxed.

Every call recorded

Saved in your library, searchable. Miss a week, catch up the next morning. Re-watch the parts that were over your head the first time.

First 50 only: $29/month, locked forever

Stay subscribed and your rate never changes, even years from now. After the first 50 members, the standard rate is $49/month.

What a typical week looks like

Four live online conversation classes a week at times that work in the US, the UK, and continental Europe. A monthly cultural session. The library, always open.

Tuesday

Two live online conversation classes

One at 9am ET / 3pm Paris, another at 1pm ET / 7pm Paris. Conversation, vocabulary, culture, current events, French films. Pick one, or come to both. Recorded.

Thursday

Two more live online conversation classes

Same two slots: 9am ET / 3pm Paris and 1pm ET / 7pm Paris. Fresh topic. Recorded.

Atelier de conversation

These are not lectures.

Every live class is an atelier de conversation, a conversation workshop. Live, with me, alongside other learners.

No pressure to speak

Listen the first few sessions if that's where you are. Warm up at your own pace. Mistakes are part of the work, not a performance.

A different topic every class

Conversation, vocabulary, culture, current events, French films, regions of France. Never the same class twice. Real French moments, not grammar drills.

I listen

Gentle corrections, not red-pen judgments. I give you space and time. By the third class, the freeze breaks for most students.

What it feels like to actually speak French

Conversation in a café, what speaking French actually feels like

You're at a bakery and the woman behind the counter asks if you'd like anything else. You don't freeze. You answer, pay, leave with your croissant, and only realise on the walk home that the whole thing happened in French.

Someone at a dinner asks you how your week went and you tell them, properly. Passé composé and imparfait mixing together without you having to think about it. The table is listening.

Your partner's family is talking around you and you're following. Then someone turns and asks you a question, and you answer, and a small joke lands. Everyone laughs, including you.

You hang up after a phone call in French and you're not drained. It was just a phone call.

That's what WeFrench is built for.

Meet Virginie

The teacher behind WeFrench.

I'm Virginie. I'm a certified French teacher with over fifteen years of experience helping adults actually speak French, not just study it.

I built WeFrench because the same thing kept coming up with people I met: "I've studied French for years. I still can't speak it."

So I built the thing I wished existed. I run every live call myself, I read every post in the community, and I correct people the same way I'd want to be corrected, with care.

À bientôt. See you in there.

"To have another language is to possess a second soul."

What makes this different

1

A real human, not a chatbot

WeFrench is the opposite of an AI conversation app. You're learning from a teacher who knows your name and practicing with people who remember what you said last week.

2

Made by me, from the ground up

Every lesson, every live class, every cultural pick is built or chosen by me, never pulled from a generic textbook. You learn the French people actually speak today, the way they really say it.

3

A community to help you grow

Not a course where you're a username in a feed. A community of adults learning together, where members recognise each other, I remember you, and the people around you actually want you to get better.

A live online conversation class with students from around the world
4

Learn how to learn a language

Once you unlock the speaking muscle in French, the same approach works for Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, anything you take on next. You leave with a method, not just one language.

Yes

This is for you if…

  • You're a beginner, or you're just starting out, or any level in between
  • You understand more French than you can speak
  • You've studied French (school, app, books, podcasts) but never really spoken it out loud
  • You want a teacher who remembers you
  • You want a safe environment to actually practice, every week

Not yet

This isn't for you if…

  • You want fluency in 30 days (we don't promise that, nobody honest does)
  • You only want recorded content (we have it, but the live practice is the point)
  • You're looking for a 1-on-1 personal tutor. Check my coaching page; if there's a slot, you can book directly with me.

Questions

When do doors open?

Monday September 14, 2026. On that day your card is charged for the first time and you get immediate access to the community on Skool at no extra cost. The community stays open year-round after that. The Founding Member rate ($29/month, locked forever) closes once the first 50 sign up. After that, standard rate is $49/month.

What's the deal with the first-50 rate?

The first 50 members lock in $29/month for as long as they stay subscribed. After the 50th signup, the rate is $49/month for the rest of launch week. The Founding Member rate never reopens. Once these spots fill, $29 disappears.

What's included?

Four live online conversation classes every week with Virginie (Tuesday and Thursday, daytime and evening slots, ~16 hrs/month). 100+ in-depth grammar lessons (15+ hours) from absolute beginner (A1) to advanced (B2), unlocked from day one. A monthly cultural session (~2 hrs) where we explore a French book, film, region, or piece of history together. A community to practice between sessions. Every live session recorded in the library. The first 50 lock in $29/month forever.

What level is this for?

Adults at any level, from beginner to advanced (CEFR A1 to B2). The point is that everyone has a place. You speak French at your own level, every week, before bringing it out into the real world. You practice as much or as little as feels right. Whether you say one sentence or twenty, you'll get better.

Do I pay anything today?

No. $0 today. Your card is saved and your first $29 is charged automatically on Monday September 14, the day we open. Cancel anytime before then and you owe nothing. Cancel anytime after and your subscription ends at the next billing cycle.

What if I can't make the live calls?

Every call is recorded and saved in the community library. You can submit questions in advance and Virginie answers them on the call. The recording is yours forever.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Monthly subscription. Cancel anytime in your Skool settings. No phone calls, no friction.

What if I join and it isn't for me?

14-day money-back guarantee. If you decide within 14 days of the community opening that WeFrench isn't for you, email us and we'll refund every cent. No questions, no friction. After that, you can still cancel anytime, but the previous month's charge stays.

What if I miss launch week?

The community stays open year-round after September 14 at $49/month standard. The only thing that closes is the Founding Member rate ($29/month locked forever), which goes away once the first 50 sign up.

I'm an introvert. Do I have to speak in front of everyone?

No. You speak when you're ready. Nobody is forced to talk, and mistakes are part of the work, not a performance. Sit in, listen, jump in when it feels right.

Come and speak
